The architecture of our building plays three images: the mountain, the cave and the bookcase. Library is opposed to flat surface of city streets: it rises above the ground and goes into it. Interior spaces of the building are arranged vertically, it offers beautiful views on the city. A book in our library is an object and a subject of the action - it is free, and the reading process is not an end in itself, but a way of action which gives rise to other types of co-creative activity within the library. The building has different functional spaces: a hall for lectures and events, a hall for exhibitions, children's area, a cafe and a bookstore. During warmer months, the amphitheater in front of the library can also serve as a venue for various outdoor performances. Two separate floors devoted to work and reading. Visitor makes his own choice which way to read: reclining in a chair, sitting at a table, alone or in company. Movement inside the building comes from the bottom to the top. Each floor is not very big, allowing premises to exist quite independently of each other. And the main facade of the library is the closet where there are thousands of books standing close to the sun-protective glassed facade. The visitor can walk in closet, choosing a book to his taste.
